Father Leopoldo Pelaéz Arbeláez has passed it to him, since he arrived in Manizales in the 1950s, opening doors to education. One day he founded a university, then he participated to save another, then he created a college, he taught classes in mathematics, theology, Latin, Greek, and he never tires of graduating generations.

The Autonomous, Manizales, Nariño, Católica del Norte universities are on his list. And there is more. On August 15, he completed 53 years of priestly ordination and Archbishop Gonzalo Restrepo gave him the mission to create another university.

This challenge, among other activities, will serve to retain in the city, at least for times, the priest who decided to go live in his land: a farm in Rionegro, where he was born and is happy next to his hydrangeas and the green where he begins the fertile east of Antioquia. And by the way he shares in Envigado with his seven sisters, who long ago demanded his company.
